Look at this rare SG, the body is a '62 RI, block inlays, 3 humbuckers, no pickguard, Standard headstock ....

What do you think ? First time I see this model.

More than likely one of the following:

    1. Mod Collection
    2. M2M
    3. 2007 GOTW

SG3 body, Custom neck, Standard headstock.

I don’t recall one like this in 2007 GOTW line up or the guitar of the month like up.

With the M2M program you could het anything so that’s always an option… is it for sale, can we ask the seller

Gibson offers a Made to Measure (M2M) build for buyers interested in having a custom Gibson made to their specifications. Basically a custom shop, custom build to your specs, with a Custom price tag.

For example, if you wanted an SG in sparkle blue with a 50’s neck, One burst bucker and one 57+, with dot inlays and split diamond headstock, no pickguard and klusson tuners, with a single push/pull tone knob. Gibson would build it for you.

prices are high. But for those that want something built from Gibson stock with full warranty that option is there.
Google made to measure Gibsons and you will see some pretty neat stuff

i have known about the M2M program for a bit, but I figured it was more of a check box on a form situation. The video impressed me enough to head to Nashville in 2 weeks, lol. First time leaving my country since this whole mess we call Covid started.

I won’t be coming home with a new axe, but I am sure looking forward to the experience.

This video was really cool too. The further it went into the more amazing it got. I was impressed anyway. Check out the vault at the end !

A lot of cool perks, that's for sure. But when you see the position "Director" in front of someones name, don't kid yourself that they are just floating around having a great time and comped meals. That's a lot of hard work, responsibility and long days. When things are going good, you have to outline to your board of directors on how you will continue the trajectory in the next quarter and next fiscal. When things don't meet expectation, they look at you for answers. Just my experience anyway.

I don't know a heck of a lot about Mark, but he plays the part right. Just nice to see some life come into the company. If folks are interested I can post some photos from the shop and give a quick review
