Actually....Give me a minute to look it up. Be right back.

    A minute........

Ok, not counting that BP fiasco in the gulf, which was unmeasurable, the worst oil spill was this one:

but it didn't get the coverage the Valdez one did because it happened slowly over a number of decades.

Typical, no headlines = half-assed slow "cleanup".

Yup. And that is a little bit of a rarer guitar. Even though the year is '74 & dismissed by Norlin haters & Vintage Gibson Cork Sniffer alike, these were harder to find than the much more common mini-humbuckered Standard version Les Paul in 1974.

I've been thinking on this since reading Tony's post yet I honestly can't escape that yukky feeling inside myself that is almost sickened by this lack of respect or appreciation for older Gibson instruments &, the fact that this is simply all done for the sake of greed, hoping to squeeze an couple extra dollars out of a guitar by parting it out.
    It just feels slimy.
It's a sad fvk'n day when someone thinks they need to do this for a living.
Now I gotta wash my hands (more like wash off & refresh my soul)...
