What kind of SG do you have?

These are the seven most popular types I could think of:

I'm interested in the most popular SGs owned by members. I probably should have included a classic :(

well, and I voted 'special' even tho mines a 'special faded." I guess a special is a special whether it's shiny or not. fadeds are popular enough to almost warrant their own category... as are Classics.

We should agree about whether classics go in the "other' category, and whether to lump all SGs together, Gibbies and Epis all in bed together. what a party. forbidden love and all that. *grins

I should have included the classic as it is such a popular SG but maybe it's better categorised as a special a la 60s style specials. I like the idea of Gibson and Epiphone together. :)

I chose "other" 'cause mine is a custom made SG... even though it's based on a 60's special type of SG.

wow, Kevy not only gets big air, he gets a lot of SGs!
Does the 60s tribute fall into the 'Special" category?

and I just thought of another missing category: Vintage! how about The Supremes? are they Customs?

oh and how about "Stolen..." "Modded beyond all recognition" ..."Copy" ..."Fake"
"Zooter' "RAW POWER" and "Goddess..."

*grins... so shoot me for a Revisionist, Gang of Four.

1973 Deluxe (even though I didn't know it was not a weird 70's Standard until I joined here. :D )

We don't have many results but we already have a clear trend - lots of specials out there.

I can't really vote, since at this time I do not own any real SG's, not even an Epi.

I have owned both a late 60's SG Special (P90's, now called "classic?") and a mid 80's SG Standard... (62?).

So I'll watch this poll as an observer.

Both are awesome but in different ways, even though they both have Ebony fingerboards the neck shapes are miles apart.
