I saw this pic from the VH1 rock honors... What is it? Looks like a cross between an sg and a v?

It looks like one of these:

But the strange thing is, that guitar Zakk is playing looks like it has a Gibson headstock...????

It does look like a Gibson headstock.

Apparently he endorses the Dean axe that looks like that... Maybe Gibson has now made one for him...

Looks that way... I know I like it with the gibson headstock better than the dean one...

Dean makes some VERY nice guitars, but I would have to run that stupid headstock thru the bandsaw before I was seen in public with it.
    ;D

Too much for me. WAY too much. :?

As a side note, I watched the Rock Honors show and had to wonder....
How much of Ozzy's vocals are canned?
He always multi tracks his vocals in the studio, some of the first song had his vocals while he was standing clueless (Ozzy-style) at the mic.
A couple of his ad-libs came out, so I'm sure his mic was live.
I understand limitations with nobody else singing, and I know it's a necessary evil to get a good live sound over the tube. Just wondering...

    Zakk is a monster!

I was wondering the same thing last night when Ozzy and his band were on Friday Night with Jonathan Ross on BBC1, good interview with the Oz man and the band kicked arse. though much like Neo I was wondering how much of the vocals were canned, unless he had a harmonist doing the backing vocals but I doubt it. however I was also wondering as to what Zakk was playing, looked pretty mean and I thought it was Dean too at first but then I noticed the Gibson Headstock... either way it's pretty evil.
