What's the scoop on the new Wine Red SG Standards?

I was in guitar center a couple weeks ago and seen one of these new Wine Red sg's with the zebra pickups, I can't seem to find any more info on them so what is the deal with these? The color is by far my favorite on an SG.

Wow gorgeous colour I like that. Don't know much about it release wise but I would be keen to know. It must have been around on and off over the years as I have seen Angus Young playing a few of his SGs in an identical colour in variious concert footage from the late 70s onwards.

The pups look like Seymour Duncan after market ones so the buyer must have added these later.

That pic is of a used guitar yes, but those pickups are identical to the new one at the guitar center near me, it has the push pull pots of the white Sg standard too. I'll have to take a closer look next time I go up.

Thank you for this, I was searching but couldn't find it :oops: So if I'm correct they have a slimmer neck than a standard?

It must have been good as I have just looked for it again on the guitar centre used listings and I think it appears to have been sold, it was definately on their yesterday when I looked, nice buy for somebody :)

Yes, maybe some of the best ideas for a std in ages. The one I played was great and looked gorgeous.
