What's Up With Jerry's SG?

    So theres a video outtake of the Dead from the movie, "Festival Express" here:



    At about 2:30 into the video, there appears to be this strange V shape behind the bridge of Jerry's SG? Any thoughts on this? Is it a remnant of a previous Bigsby installation?

    Appears to be just a decoration, like the sticker. Depending on which factory vibrola it originally had, the v may cover some of the mounting screw holes.

    (All '60s small guards had factory vibrolas -- they didn't offer the stop tailpiece until they switched to the large batwing pickguard. Owners converted a huge number of '60s small guards to stoptails, especially the early ones with the terrible version of the sideways vibrola.)

    Yep, what RW59 said. Looks like he just made something to look cool and glued it on to the tailpiece... JGSG3.jpg

    Here's the same guitar before he added the V. It looks like the tailpiece is narrower than normal too, so, it's probably a modded Vibrola bar.. jgsg4.jpg
