recent Champion 600
V1 Mustang I
3 of my favorite low volume solutions.
a picture of my twin...
the excelsior was so controversial when it came out & it's a unique flavor... i read reviews that called it swampy, gin soaked, honky tonk etc... & i agree, i'd never confuse it with a uberschall amp ... i wanted something small that would smuck up my digital fx rigs & that it does... what i can't figure out is if i use a spankey clean twin setting it cleans right up... the factory power amp tubes went monophonic @ a year & 1 of the pre tubes blew out... the evm upped the efficiency so much i barely bump the volume in clubs & i cant/haven't cranked it outdoors on larger stages...
Fender Champion 600
Fender Mustang I V.2
Fender Super Champ XD
I don't need any bigger amps right now.
Haven't used it in a while but I have a '68 Bassman that I run through a late '70's Fender 4x10.
When I need to be loud and clean. I play this one. 45 watt 75 Super.
This is the Fender amp I own. Love this thing.
One would be Leo Fenders favorite the 1960 Concert. And the Tweed Deluxe.
Just got my passport out, and booked my flight to Kelowna BC for when Shreddy is at work so I can pick up my new 68 Bassman and 70's 4x10 Cab. Gonne swing by 67 plexi's place and pick up a few other beauties on the return trip too.
Think you better have a lift gate.
HAHA Steve,,,,,,, very nice gear and pics
I look forward to your visit Chili! Too bad you'll leave Kelowna with only memories of SG and Bassman bliss.
They'll be nice memories though and Kelowna is a pretty place.
1973 Silverface Champ.
Who else thinks a "Champ Stack" would be cool!
Why should i play a 7ender amp?
+1 for the Champion 600.
sweet little amp.
What does bea mean by a 7 ender amp?
The "F" looks a little like a 7 with a slash through it, which is the way 7 is often written in continental Europe.
In parts of Europe, they use a crossed seven. Essentially, their number seven is just like ours, but with a line crossing the stem. This, coincidentally, ends up looking exactly like the "F" in the Fender logo on their amplifiers.
So, to her (being from Germany), to reproduce the Fender logo on a keyboard, it would be "7ender."
Again, that is just a guess.
The only one I have is a Fender Super Champ XD Head run through my homemade cabinet.
I also use my VOX AC15C1 and more often a Line 6 Spider IV 75 because I have a lot of great tones mapped in it...
I usually use my '70 Deluxe Reverb. It's got NOS RCA tubes in it, and has been "Blackfaced." It sounds great. Whne I want to make a bit more noise, I'll dig out my old '63/'64 (I forget which) Bandmaster. It's also full of old glass.
