Hi folks, hoping someone can help me find a nut for my guitar I own a 2012 satin brown Gibson SG 61 reissue and the nut is worn so I need to replace it.

Also what is a good material to go with?

    Thanks.

You have some options, unless you want vintage correct? nylon nuts were used on the 61s, I believe. I use bone nuts a lot, bleached and unbleached depending on which looks better. You could also do Tusq which is a self-lubricating nut. It's a type of plastic has a lubricating property. Good for bending etc and not binding at the nut.

    Cheers Peter.
