Just picked this one up today. It's not as bright in person, but for the first time in years other than 2017-18, they used a binding plastic that did not have the pink tint.

Tell me about your Iommi if it's not too much trouble. I've been debating on one. Mostly the price. How does it rank with yr other SG's?
Thank's

I think the Iommi is priced a little high for an SG Special, but I could not be any happier with mine. The build quality is amazing. It blurs the line between a USA and CS model.

Haven't taken calipers to the neck yet, but feels like it's slightly thicker than my SG Classics which have thick necks for a modern SG. How the neck feels is most important to me and this one feels great. It's thick and rounded, but not a baseball bat like the 1970 models.

So far, I enjoy playing the Iommi SG Special more than any other Gibson SG that I currently have or had in the past. My first SG was a 1969 SG Special purchased second hand in the 1980's. It had a Leo Quan Badass bridge. I really like the bridge on the Iommi SG because it seems like a more refined version of the original Leo Quan Badass from what I can remember.

The Grover Rotomatics with Schaller style buttons feel really smooth when tuning.

The binding is slightly thinner just like on the originals. The nibs are perfect. Some folks seem to think that nibs are a problem, but I've never had any issues on any Gibsons that I currently have or had in the past.

I like every feature on this guitar.
Going to keep it stock and just play it.

Thanks Carrion, yes this a beauty of an axe my opinion. It plays as good as it looks. Honestly I don’t know why this is not a standard production Custom. It would check all the box’s for a lot of folks.

Same question.

Oh, there is. I noticed it holding them in my hand. The metal are substantial, the plastic weigh next to nothing. I have a scale now so I could try and figure out the difference, maybe I’ll do that later.
