This series between Boston and Detroit has been some great old time original six hockey. Who's everyone cheering for? Even if the bookies in Vegas weren't banking on the Bruins, they'd still be my pick. GO B's!

My Lightning blew it hard this offseason. MTL swept them. They always seem to blow it in the playoffs after a good season... 2004 was a decade ago!

This is a tough one. Home town loyalties compel me to root for the Blackhawks. But, I'm finding myself cheering on the Blues. I lived in southern Illinois for a few years in the late '90s and wasn't too far from St. Louis. I saw the Blues a couple of times in the old Kiel Center. I kind of have a soft spot in my heart for them.

Besides, Ryan Miller has the coolest helmet...a Les Paul on one side and a Strat on the other!

In fact, this is a tweet by Ryan Miller:

"The guitars on the mask by @BishopDesigns are Jimmy Page's Gibson and Jimi Hendrix's Fender. I think it turned out great."

Yup...that settles it.

Go Blues!

I'm thinking what if Martin St. Louis didn't ask to be traded would the outcome been different. Very good 1st round so far (even though my Canucks were done a long time ago).

Liking the Sharks or the Blues meeting the Bruins in the final.

I still can't believe he wanted to be traded. He is the best player to play for the Lightning (Stamkos pending) and was hard to see go. I think we had the better end of the trade with the Rangers, but losing a 2x Ross trophy, Hart trophy, and all-star always sucks.

You're right though...he is TEARING it up this postseason with NYR.

How bout Pens Columbus game? Series tied 2-2, game 1-1. Too bad Pens aren't playing top notch.

Christ! I didn't realize how much Brad Marchand looks like Pee Wee Herman.

Okay, Gents...

...And AWAY we go!

So, my Blackhawks got eliminated by L.A. That, of course, was a profoundly unfortunate incident.

Anyway, here we are with the Rangers and the Kings playing for the Cup.

I'm rooting for the Rangers.

I did hope the Hawks would have won it against the Kings. But the Kings are a flawless machine since the come back against the Sharks.

The best NHL playoffs by far. Go Kings!
