best drum solo

i know this has nothing to do with sg’s but i was listening to kiss alive and i think peter criss did the best drum solo on any album i have heard. go peter.

Which track from KISS?

Peter Criss wouldn’t make my top 10, not for lack of a love for KISS… there’s just too many crazy talented drummers who have been recorded in the last century.

I mean, pick ANY Buddy Rich solo. Or Gene Krupa. Or Art Blakey, or Elvin Jones. Etc etc.

Then you have the metal guys. Mario Duplantier puts out a solo every year that continues to push the boundaries of what I think can be done on a kit.

And then there’s Neil Peart… and half a dozen other from the prog ilk.

How about Gene Krupa, Max Roach, Buddy Rich, Jimmy Cob, Elvin Jones, Joe Morello and so many other unknown jazz drummers through the ages..... and pay attention to the jazz band drummers.
