anyone know where i can find one of these backplates without having to trace the cavity and custom order one? i’m beginning to think it would be easier to find the gig bag i put it in and sold to Sam Ash 10 years ago…

Your best bet would be to have one custom made. I have never seen anyone offer these as aftermarket parts since they were originally sold 25+ years ago. Try pickguards.com They make WD guards and are very high quality.

yeah, i use WD all the time, got the pickguard from them - just didn’t want to have to go that route again if possible, no big deal i guess.

she looks a bit different now but she’ll be whole again…62C38236-B101-444E-AA81-2E899D4FA564.jpeg

If you, or some friends, have a dremmel and a file, plus a driller, you could buy some blank plastic (blank pickguard or something like that), and do it yourself. It will take a little time, but it's not that hard, and the result will be nice.
