I have a '77 Super Twin Reverb that my local guitar tech tells me has a bad tube. I was hoping to pick one up locally to get the amp back in action, but no one has any. This is probably a dumb question, but does anyone know if the 6C10 tube can be substituted for by any other tube?

Unfortunately, they're out of stock on them and, like I said, I was hoping to find an alternate tube locally. I've found this: http://www.nj7p.org/Tube1.php?tube=6C10 , which says a 6BK11 is a preferred substitute. Can anyone confirm this for sure?

I use the place Wease suggested but if out, I go here.
They are in Canada so it takes a few more days to receive the parts but they are always reputable and the tubes are perfect.

A 6BK11 has 3 plates in it .... anotherwords 3 stages similar to 1 1/2 , 12AX7's! :coolsmiley:
