Lovely. The finish is pleasing to the eye.

I love the Gibson basses...well, the SG basses anyway...I've been kind of hunting for one myself. Of course, to no avail.

Very very nice.....Is that the knob that they put on the pickup selector back then? Always was curious about that as it seems small for it's purpose? We do need more SG bass's on the forum.....Thanks!

Really, really nice Coop. 8) I agree with Voxman. We definitely need more basses around here! Does it sound as good as it looks?

I'll look around while surfing and see if I can find a hand rest.

That's not an original knob.  Here is a picture of my 1970 EB3.  Although mine doesn't have the fingergrip.

No holding out here.  It was clearly visable in my Collection picture.

I've added a few since then.  I really need to do another picture.

The EB-3 featured two pickups, and a 4 way chicken-head selector switch. This pic is from a 1978 flyer.

I bow to the old-school Gibson EB-3... alas, I have only Epiphones...

A friend of my dad's owns (or owned, I don't know if he gave it back or not) the EB-3 Jack Bruce used- I'd love to play it sometime.

Nice basses. Must say I prefer the solid headstock over the slotted. I was under the impression that Gibson went over to the slots and longscale on their 70s basses so EvilLordJuju could be right about the date. Perhaps this site needs a bit more info on the EB0,3 & 4. :)
