wow, nice work m8 you got some talent i'll give you that ;D, i could actually use some tips on home recordings if you wouldnt mind giving me a PM some time with a list of the equipment you use, my band have put together some songs and were really eager to get them recorded.

I'll give you, and everyone else, the best tip you can get.
Its not about the gear, its about the ear.

I have a good friend who is a mix engineer who, to prove a point, made a recording of a song with an el-cheapo Art Tube MP (original version) and a SM58 into an old Tascam Portastudio. It sounded great when he was done with it. 'Cause, like playing guitar, its not so much about the equipment as it is about the person who uses it.

I work in production with a couple national acts, but do mostly all of my own music at home with a MOTU 828MKII and my laptop. The mics I use most are a SM57 and a Studio Projects C-1, and my main Preamp is a Toft EC-1. I'm currently using Sonar3Producer, with the Waves Platinum Native bundle. The most important choice you can make is good, HONEST monitors, and really learn how to hear on them. Listen to hours and hours of music until you really understand how music sounds. Then make what you create match what you like to hear.
