adjusting bridge height

I messed with my bridge height on accident and now the strings are too close. my sg wont seem to make them higher even if i try to adjust the, any thoughts?

Welcome Bluebird! :) Loosen the strings first, raise the bridge with the thumbwheels and retune the guitar.

how loose should the strings be. Like incredibly loose or just a little. I havn't played for 2 days and I'm going crazy.

Try half a turn on each and see. :-\

how high off the 2nd pick up should it be. Or how high in general.

Try about 1/8" or wherever you like it.
