You don't never ever restore antique guns are knives unless advised to do so by the best of the best
in general its a no no.

This is exactly what I would say...leave it alone other that keeping it clean and rust free...don't try cleaning, polishing, steel wooling or any other crazy thing...

I clicked and clicked and clicked...and I actually made a few respectable bids...I'm sure my wife will be happy if I win!

We have over $1,000,000 (low estimated value) of items for auction and over $30,000 in bids so far.

So how did the auction go???

My wife will be happy when I give her the necklace I won...fine jewelry always gets me out of trouble...I'll hold
on to it until I do something to piss her off or want something...

So the auction is still going on right now. Sp8ctre got his wife a beautiful necklace and i want to pass on a inside scoop to y'all. If you look and the low estimate value for each piece and divide that price by 3, this will give you the reserve price. so if the low price is listed as $300, we will accept any bid of $100 or more. There lots of items available still so if you see something you like and can afford 1/3 of the listed low price, bid away and make you SWMBO a happy lady. You will need to register before you can bid but I will approve you ASAP. Happy bidding!!!

Well, what the heck. I clicked for a fellow guitar player. Now if you played banjo, I'd probably have looked at guitars online instead.

, bid away and make you SWMBO a happy lady.

:rofl::rofl:
Glad it went well for you Wav.
Oddly enough, SWMBO and I work Antique auctions occasionally - fortunately for me she's gotten a bit "jaded" by a lot of the bling, but she does comment on stuff she likes. My problem has become keeping her away from the Art Deco furniture.

I laugh because my two biggest contributions to the site thus far have been "Magic Tone Beans" and SWMBO. :rofl::rofl::cheers:
