So I took a two week break from my addiction of "assembling".....That said I'm starting the next one. Notice the pickup routes :naughty:
It's 25.5" scale, no angle to the neck pocket, and the pocket is cut for a telecaster-type heel. I just ordered a used "vintage-style tele" neck, with rosewood board and an authentic tele-style headstock. Wouldn't have it any other way.
Oh yeah...soapbar-style HB's have been selected. I wish they could be the Joe Barden soapbars, but I'd have to sell my tainted blood for some month's to get those LOL

A tele neck will look nice on that. Would P90s fit in those nicely cut holes?

Yes! Those are P-90 routes. While I have the choice of using P-90's, or mini-hum's in a P-90 sized shell, or soapbar-sized HB's, I'm going to start with a pair of soapbar-HB's (the overwound soapbar 180's from the "usual suspects"). I may even get a spare set of the real single coil P-90's as an option to switch to if I get the bug. In that case I'd switch from 500K pots to 250K. But it's an alternate plan I like.
I would really like to get a set of the Joe Barden soapbar HB's. I'm quite curious about those.
As far as the bridge goes....it will be a Fender-style hardtail. Maybe even a "short-Tele" bridge from Wilkinson.....but those have wide string spacing...maybe too wide.
