I won a Dragon Mountain SG clone and was not impressed with the actual product, although the photos looked convincing.

Uncle Willie has been machining these for years in his shop located in Illinois, but QC needs attention. I returned my item due to obvious discrepancies in positioning of holes, and an awkward angle to the neck PU routing. I did some measurements and there was no way to connect the neck to the body without being off center by 4 degrees. Plus, the bridge/tail holes measured from center to center will not accommodate any name brand bridge or tail. You have to buy Uncle Willie's proprietary hardware, but he does not tell you that on eBay. Besides, the paint job had overspray on it, and it had obviously been built up to a complete guitar at some point. This was supposed to be new.

I am still in the market for an SG body. Any suggestions?

Best of luck, but I have never liked any SG with a bolt-on neck. It's just wrong, like a set neck would be on a Fender!
