Eric Clapton Strat Upgrade Question?

My son has ordered a EC Strat wiring kit. He wants to wire up his Strat for him BUT the 5-way switch only shows wires on one side. See the attached drawing ...

Questions:

1-Anybody know how to wire this 5-way switch?

2-Any experience with this mod? Does it work well?

Well if Fender says it wires it on just one side of the switch, that's probably best then. You could also have a look on www.guitarelectronics.com for info. Looks like an interesting mod. Is the circuit board and battery mounted in existing cavities or is some routing required?

if this is the same stuff that's inside the EC signature strats it should sound pretty sweet. a guy I know has one which sounds really nice.

On the switch: Seems that the consensus is that the wiring diagram is correct as drawn ... the other side of the switch is not used.

On the mount: Several say the board can fit under the pots if you clip one of the screw holes on one corner. The battery will just fit between 2 of the springs in the back under the cover. I would have to rout it otherwise.

I am still not feeling all warm and fuzzy about this project yet :-\ I feel like I'm trying to figure out how to mount a cheap pedal inside a fine guitar.
