I did my first gig at church this morning. I learned a lot like how loud the piano was and it's best to rehearse before with accompaniment and that it would be nice to mark where the knobs should be turned before playing. It went basically well.I'm ready to do it again next Sunday but hopefully solo this time. The piano was really bright and it was tough for me to harmonize with it. But that bluesy Marshall sounded great! I thought that they might freak when they saw a Marshall and an SG come into the church but everyone was actually pretty kind. An older gentleman there said that he plays Mandolin so that might be a future collaborator. I had fun!
It was a  little different from playing "Hell's Bells". :)

Congrats on that T. I played through high school at mass every Thursday, bass that is, with a cheap bass with a 2X4 for a neck it seemed I got when I was in Mexico, it was actually a regular 6 string. Anyway, I learned a lot on following other people. I don't know about you, but most church songs were way more complex than any rock I played and all capo'd in different spots so I was doing math the whole time as we played(G capo G#= whatever) that kind of thing. I don't know, "Hell's Bells" may be good background music to a Revelations type sermon. I played my first SG show friday night. Man, that thing sang. I try not to showboat in life, but I was sure proud to have that baby in my hands. I even got in front of the amp a couple times to feedback and squeal and man I felt good.

Cool! What a natural high! I guess you're only showboating when the audiences expressions turn to bad.

Congrats T! 8) The first one is always the greatest................ Was the accompany electric.... acoustic..... or acoustic/ electric? 8)

(BTW...... Remember that in church, if you showboat, don't worry about the audience because it's His expression that counts...................! 8) 8)
