The guitar has been oiled and stringed.
I kept the neck, the pickguard and the control cavity cover quite natural (I gave only three layers of Tru Oil), but the headstock and the body, instead, have a thin gloss effect, which is nice. The few layers give a good feeling to the neck, you can slip your hand easily and the rolled-edged fingerboard is relaxing.
I installed the buttons for the strap and I discovered that the guitar does not neck dive. It is still without pickups, so the body is very light (thanks to the cavities too), but it has a lot of stability, I like it.

About the sound... it is strange. I do not know it is due to the height of the strings, but the standard tuning does not sound well/correctly, I mean, it always seem not in tune, even when you compare the sound of each string with the one that is produced by a tuned guitar. I tried to adjust it so that it could play the same as another guitar (not homemade), but even in this way I did not get what I was looking for.
I waited two weeks, sometimes I played it, hoping it was because the strings were new, but it still persists. Can it be a problem of the bridge saddles? Or frets? Or, as I said, is the height of the string the main trouble?

Well, what can I say? Unlucky guitar strikes again (ironically).

This time I took the photo with the mobile phone, so it is quite difficult to see the effect of the oil. The pickguard is lighter than the the body, but in the picture it seems they have the same color.

I think that looks great. But did you do something about the string height you showed in previous pics?

No, I left it as it was. I know this kind of wood is not recommended for necks, so I keep it until it bears the strenght generated by the tension of the strings, or when I decide it is the time to upgrade.
