I have been very impressed with my fender pro junior ever since I got it a few weeks ago. Now I'm even more impressed after reading this....

I was reading on the Fender UK site about famous Female Fender players and caught this little tidbit about Bonnie Raitt and her gear...she uses a Fender Pro Junior! Pretty good testament for that little powerhouse of an amp I think!

I agree but I feel I need to add that when she won an Emmy for one of hair albums I went out and bought it on that alone  and it was totally lack luster, booring and everything sounded the same. Then I realized the awards are about sales and not innovative interesting music!  I still like her a lot but just the earlier stuff that I don't think you can even get anymore!

Any regrets, phil? I'm thinking just the opposite because the PJ has to be really loud before it crunches -- not so good for late night woodshedding.

no not so much regrets, just wondering... ;)

depending on my mood etc i find that the Blues Junior sounds ok at a low volume and if i need some distortion i use the tonelab, but im ok going straight in.

Cool, thanks. Good to know it handles effects as well as the PJr seems to do.
I'd probably put a DS-1 in front of a BJr for extra oompf as needed.
