I found a used Epiphone Wilshire hanging on
the wall of my local Music Go Round, looking like a college girl in the drunk tank with
hookers and shoplifters.

i always wondered how these babys sound like..

more telecaster style.. or a "light" sg..???

I'm having great fun with this one. I've had a lot of Epi's over the years but this one has something special about it. The neck feels great, it stays in tune better than my Gibson Standard and that dark cherry finish is gorgeous. I've not seen one like it before. I love poking my nose in any guitar shop but there's a certain excitement about going into a pawn shop and finding something like this.

Not to toss any fuel on the fire here, but when I bought my G400, it had a truss rod cover that said "SG". So although it's model number is G400, the style is SG according to the factory. Who am I to argue with the people that made it?

That being said, NICE SCORE rockerbilly!!!
My G400 has SG on the truss rod cover too! I fully agree SG's they are.

I don't know how anyone could dispute it. I mean when I look at 'em I don't see a Strat or a Tele, I see an SG. Simple.

Agreed. If you wanted to put a finer point on it, Gibson owns the design, the name, AND Epiphone! It's an SG!

Also if a 1970 Gibson SG Deluxe with ZERO bevels qualifies as an SG then so do all my Epi SGs...
