Three vinyl albums in a box (at least for the UK release). That certainly fits my definition of a box set. ;D
How about Mike Oldfield "Boxed" (Four albums - Tubular Bells, Hergest Ridge and Ommadawn plus a compilation of singles and stuff)?
 My information seems to have been faulty Javamagic about All Things Must Pass and I apologize. My info had been that the only box set released in all four formats was Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band Live/ 1975-1985.After thinking about it I'll bet there are more.
[Slightly off topic - with a wink]
Respect to understanding the term "box set" ... is there a difference between (a) a collection of individually released releases now being sold as bundle in a single box >click< and (b) a work spanning more than one piece of media (e.g. a triple LP) being sold in a single box >click<?
