Hey guys!
My name is Chris. Just your average Ex-Pat/struggling musician/teacher from New York, eking out a living all the way in Northern Bohemia (the Czech republic). New to the board and New to SGs. I just got my 2000 SG Classic one week ago and I Love it! I don't know what's taken me so long to come around to them. I spent most of my musical experience strumming acoustics and a whinny singer song writer-ish thing but since moving over seas and putting together a more Funk/blues/rock based band I've gotten into electrics later on in life. Up until now I've been playing cheap european knock off jazz boxes (some of which have been amazing) and for a while I had an LP Studio that I played from time to time but never really got attached to. I'm not sure why but for some reason, when the financial situation allowed me to buy a new guitar I thought "I'm going to look in to an SG". I had the chance to play a friends mid 60's junior and I could't believe how good it felt and I loved the tone and the versatility of a P-90 so I looked around and found a classic (could never afford a mid 60's junior… I don't think) that wasn't all original so was at a good price for gibsons in europe. I'm so glad I did. I'm definatly an SG convert! Look forward to learning from all of you! Thanks!
