I was looking for a Lyre vibrato for my SG/MM, and snagged one which is supposed to have come off a mid-60's Standard. It should arrive with me sometime in the next week.
The price is less than buying a brand new reproduction so I think I've got a good deal; but my question is, how can I tell if it really is an original?
Obviously things like the arm screw may have been replaced over the years... so what do I look for?
I won't be upset if it turns out to be a repro, seeing as it was still cheaper than buying one of those... I'm just interested... :)
