The amp models are the same as the one on my POD XT live, and they sound pretty digital to me. I still use it for recording sometimes, but it really can't compare to my Marshall.

in my own little world... apparently
therein lies the rub again. i have the pod xt 'bean' and i have a lot of fun with it. i think there is something to be said about a digitally created effect... as long as you are not looking for a pure classic tube tone. i suppose its me but i enjoy finding ways to torture a guitar sound...

yes the toneport and pod have the same models, i guess just a slightly dif way of delivering it.

I still have one, a UX2 that I've been trying to get rid of for months, it's fairly nice.  The models are alright, but the recording software that comes with it is great.  Ableton Live, I believe. It has some nice Tweed models, and a Marshall Super Lead.

it might be pretty cool, but you'll probably end up wanting something with more mic inputs

Sorry John......Only just seen this. IF the Software is anything like that which was originally supplied with the later versions of Guitarport

(RiffTracker?) then yes.....For "ideas" etc I am told that it is very easy to use and pretty intuative? I had a Copy but let it go when I sold the Guitarport a while ago.
