Did a thread search on this one, couldn't find much: Anyone know where you can buy Lyre (or Deluxe Maestro, whichever you prefer) vibrolas, i.e. the ones found on Angus axes and the like?

Whoa - that eBay auction is way above my price range. Nice original stuff, but the newer gear will do.

Anybody know where I can get the authentic Gibson vibrola? Allparts has a great piece, but its a "Gibson style" part, not the real deal.

Will do. I'm getting as many pics of vibrola-equipped SGs as I can before any drilling goes on! Also, I have a couple of mother of pearl discs from a Les Paul that I put a Bigsby on, so I think I'll just reuse those for this job.

If you want I could give you some measurements from mine, a stock '70 Standard with ABR-1.From what I understand, the AllParts TP is exact except for engraving. You might be able to get a cover from Gibson if you're nice but they'll want a serial #.

BTW-I just finished a Blueprint in 1/1 scale for setting up the lyre measuring off of the ABR-1 bridge's posts and centered on the strap button. If you have access to a fax machine you can send me a private message with a fax # and I'll send you a copy-and of course that goes for any members!
