Okay chaps, it's been a long time since I last bought a pedal. Temptation's getting to me, and I think i'll let it get it's way for once in a long time :coolsmiley:

But I have no idea what I want, which is unusual, though I've got a few Boss DF-2 (Super Distortion/Super Feedbackers :D) on watch on eBay from the USAand Canada...)

I'll list my current setup, if somone can spot something I'm missing then suggestions would be great please :p that said, I've taken out a few pedals lately so there's a chance I'll have something that's suggested. Anyway.

Guitar -> Boss LS-2 -> Bespeco Volume -> Fender Tuner -> Digitech Whammy -> Boss DS-1-> Crybaby -> EHX Small Stone -> Boss DD-6 -> Boss DM-2 ->Back into LS-2 -> Boss RC20XL -> Amp

I might put back in my EHX Big Muff and Boss NS-2 to reign the in the beast back in again, I took a few out to downsize for our bands gig last week.

I'm thinking maybe a compressor? (I've got a cheap-ass Behringer one but it doesn't really sound that good) or a reverb (so I can have more control than the reverb on my amp), or maybe something totally different. Suggestions! :D

Had a feeling someone would say chorus :p

Now I've never really been a fan of the effect, not sure why. But about a year (or longer?) ago I bought a Danelectro Wasabi Chorus/Trem on a whim. The trem was average, and the chorus was just plain awful, couldn't get anything I liked out of it, so I sold it, got a Tuna Melt trem, and haven't bothered with a chorus.
But if someone can show me a nice sounding chorus then I'm still open to it... *nods*

I'm not sure what all your Boss pedals are, 'cuz I don't know those model names (DD=Digital Delay?) so you might already have this... How about something like a Flanger? I don't have a Flange pedal, but there's a Flanger effect in my PODxt Live. I dig it. Like a Chorus, a little bit goes a long way.
I have an auto-wah in the form of a Mu-Tron III that's fun to play with. Kind of a one-trick pony, but definitely *different*!

An overdrive pedal is never useless...
Other than that, a phaser is sometimes useful (do you play any EVH stuff?)
A compressor/sustainer kind of pedal can give you some nice shred/lead tones (I hate compressed sound, but some people like it).
Other than delay/reverb/chorus/phaser/wah, I found all other effects pretty useless.
C'mon, how often will one be using an octaver, or a pitch shifter or a harmonizer?

Hey jetlag....looks like you got it pretty much covered by looking at your present line up. IMO just about any other recommendations would pretty much be allot of the same things you already have just under a different label.

At the risk of being repetitive, cause you stated chances are you might have already tried it, but have you ever tried just slapping an eq pedal in you amps FX loop and messing around with the sliders a bit.....almost like plugging into a totally different amp. I think sometimers a little bit of EQ can make a world of difference.

I've used them for years with great results, and even though now a days I mainly just use them for a clean signal boost, in the past they sure helped me out many nights.... sometimes just to break the boredom.

Wow, how can I be so silly not to mention an eq...
I use a deq2496 rack mount eq all the time in the fx loop. Probably the most important part of my sound (after the amp itself :p).
An EQ is highly recommended. Makes a whole lot of difference

A good phaser is the MXR EVH phase 90 which has a switch to pick if you want the sound of the original script logo or the modern block one.
