Hello all, just wanted to quickly introduce myself. My name is Adam and I am living on the outskirts of Cleveland Ohio. I just bought my first SG today on Ebay (always wanted one and this one seemed like a beauty) http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...467607&ssPageName=STRK:MEWN:IT&ih=020 in the past I have had a couple Les Pauls, a few strats, a few teles, and i have been very into BC Rich as well (1981 Bich-6, 1985 neck-thru ST-III and a new Calibre line Mockingbird). Decided I wanted something a little different. I look forward to many endless discussions with you all and I look forward to visiting this website many times. Hope I didn't get completely ripped off, but it looks to be a great SG and a new one would have cost me about $1,500 more or so. Take care all!

yup, I am familiar with that disease. It most infected me with BC Rich(itus). Over that last year or two I went thru 6 BCR's alone (still have 3 of them which I love very much, 1981 Bich-6, 1985 NJ series ST-III (neck-thru and full active electronic package) and a new Calibre series Mockingbird (prototype at that plant)), let's see what else, what else, oh yes, one Fender telecaster (no longer have, but was a sweet guitar), one squire telecast (rolling rock graphic, but still a POS, traded that in for a Fender 5-watt tube amp), another Squire POS (forgot the name, but was a reissue and was being sold for like $90 or so at Sam Ash so I figured how can I go wrong) Gibson 1997 Les Paul Studio (looked nice, but didn't dig playing it, traded for the later mentioned 1983 strat which I later sold), 1973 Les Paul Deluxe (very cool guitar, but needed to sell to purchase one of my BCR's), 1984 Fender Strat (ehhhhhh, it was a descent enough guitar, but kinda sick of strats), another strat with a 1997 SRV neck and EMG (David Gilmore) DG-20 pups (that was a fantastic guitar, just gave it to my nephew for his Bar Mitzvah present. Ovation (forgot the model name, american made, but pretty cool acoustic, that and 3 of my other BCR's were part of a trade for my mockingbird), an 80's Ibanez roadstar series (sold to a friend, he didn't have much money and just had a baby so I felt bad for him, sold it to him for way too little money and I took installments, damn I am a nice guy) not to mention the plethora of guitars I have been thru over the years. I have never had an SG, but I am really looking forward to it. Hell, if it is good enough for Angus and Jerry than it damn well is good enough for me!!!!!!! Actually I am really looking forward to it, I was thinking about getting another 70's LP deluxe, but then I remembered how I felt playing my LP's (like I have a piece of furniture around my neck) so I looked into SG's. Saw this sale on Ebay and I figured what the hell, if I hate it (and I don't see that happening), I am getting a good enough price that I doubt I won't be able to sell it one day and at least break even. I do have a tendency of holding onto my higher end guitars so I figure this will be a keeper.
