Oh... and there's an RD Std reissue too...

Good to see a real Special - although it's puzzling me why a "1967 Reissue" should have a tuneamatic... ?
But a welcome addition nonetheless

I wonder if it will cost the same as a classic?
[/quote]
Probably more in the Standard's range, methinks, or somewhere in between...

Wow! I just noticed that week #43 is a natural Explorer with a short vibrola. I always wanted to get an Explorer with a Lyre Vibrola in the same color scheme. Natural Korina with Gold hardware. Yummy!

I hope not. I just got a Classic and I would rather have this one with the small pick guard. :-\

It looks like a mix between an SG Classic and a Faded :-\

Gratuitous pic of my 1965 Special follows, purely for "Spot-the-Diffrence" purposes ;D

Nice Special Brew. O0

The G.O.W. looks like a VOS SG Special, except for the tune-o-matic, tulip tuners, later neck joint, and lack of nice little witch hat knobs. It still looks like it will be a popular model that will sell out pretty quick. I'd buy one if I could. :coolsmiley:

I'm pretty sure the knobs on this GOW one are correct. That's how I've always seen them. They didn't switch to witch hats until around the time they started with the full-size pickguard, I think.

if that sg is priced under a grand, I bet it sells out quickly. I actually like the looks of quite a few of those guitars. Got to hand it to Gibson they are working this idea hard and coming up with some pretty cool looking guitars with a bit of collector potential built into them.

:Droolin:  :-\ :BangHead:

You know I thought Apple and their marketing schemes and product lines for the iPod
were genious. I still think so. But Gibson has obviously come up with something here
I have never seen or imagined with the GOW thing. It has in fact got me completely
addicted to SGs where I want new ones. Now I have seen a couple of others I want.
I mean I already have 2 GOW versions with a 3rd on order. Someone warned me about
buying SGs in that they are addicting and would get my money. Well if it werent for the
GOWs that wouldnt be happening.

My question is when does it end. Is it for the entire year?

Too bad I already ordered my new amp. I would love to jump on one of those small guard SG Specials.

I'll give you a clue.

They are handmade in Beverly, MA.

Very convenient for me. ;)

I agree... some excellent "new" models here from Gibson.

it's also an ingenious way of test marketing appeal and demand. If they sell out quickly, they might even be tempted to do a bigger production run at some later date, perhaps?
