An ebay listing wound up being local to me so I got a great deal that I could not pass up. This will be getting the Tom Anderson HB size P90s (PH) pickups I took out of my SG Elegant.

More pics tonight.

What sort of knob buys a Pelham Blue G-400 Pro?

(please just tell me it wasn't a *lot* less than the $300 I, er, I mean, a friend, paid.)

It was not a lot less, but it was less!

Speaking of knobs, it looks like I cannnot re-use the stock as one has a unique shaft. I will bundle them with the pcb pots and harnessed pups in the trade fodder thread.

After a long 2 days of disassembling, soldering, fret leveling, nut installation, setup and buffing, she is playing NICE. Tom Anderson PH1 and PH2 are wired for series split (push pull volume knobs). The G-400 pups with harness and specialized pots and knobs are up for trade. Without further delay, here's Molly!

My god, Man, that is sweeeeeeet.
Congrats.
Now get off the damn internet and crank the F'in Live at Leeds!!
I've had Substitute in my head for several days after reading that Pete tone article in Tone Report.
Or go all Krieger loud and squeaky clean.

How was the fretwork initially?
Both my Epi SGs fretwork was pretty good, though it can always be made better, except for a bit of sharp tang end or bevels.

Thanks!

The fretwork was good, and much better than the G-400 (not pro) worn brown I got , but that may be luck of the draw. I did level it anyway because I tend to keep the action real low.

I think I am going to swap out the bridge. I am not a fan. I think black would be nice too.

Gotoh makes a good quality bridge for reasonable money.
Can you give me the model Johnny? I am searching now and want to make sure I get the right one.

Holy Molly, ride your pony !
I am about to put my hands on a set of Gibson P94. I guess I'll then have to get something to put it in.

And "Molly" is attributed to....?
My wife is on a Beatles Obla Dee kick - you know, Desmond, who buys Molly a 20K diamond ring. And yes, there is a guitar named Desmond too. I will make whatever concessions necessary to acquire gear - I just hope that does not include a 20K ring!
