The grain in the body is stunning from what I can see. I know that you are quite proud of it, and you should be! Epiphone quality is running very high and they reflect the best value to quility guitar built today. Again, I'm proud to hear that you have a new Epi that is what your heart, eyes, and fingers told you was the one! Now, go rock out and have some fun! Then your ears will tell you that it was the right choice as well!!!
Spent about two hours with the Epi Pro last nite in the garage..running thru a Fender Champ. These new "improved" pickups are definately hotter than previous ones Ive had on SG400's. More "bite" to them.
Ive messed around with the push/pull coil tapping. You really get some Clear/bell like tones...Ive never heard on an SG before. Cool feature. I did lose some volume...because when u push it back down to normal...u definatley hear the PUNCH of the pickups in normal mode.
Slim taper neck..which ive always liked on the SG's ive had. I owned 2 previous DOTS...but those necks were huge..especially closer up to the neck.
First time ive ever had vintage type Tulip Tuners. Made by Wilkinson. I always thought Grovers were the best..but these little plastic tuners..stay in tune!! Nice vintage look also.
Body weight I belive is 6 lbs. Just what i need. Dont need a back breaker.
Havent tried it thru my Marshall yet..had too much fun with the Champ. Really like this. Im very impressed with the latest Epiphone model.
I got a great deal for $279!
