Ordered a Goddess

Well, the back order wait for an Ice Burst was just too long so I ordered an Ebony SG Goddess from E. M Shorts. They will replace the fixed bridge with an adjustable Tone Pros bridge for just the cost of the part before they ship it. I should have it in about two weeks. It would have been two months for the Ice Burst. Although they would have been happy to replace the pups as well, they talked me out of it. I'll try the stock ones for a while.

She's the 4th SG I've bought this year (Classic, '61 RI, Standard & now the Goddess). She'll be the first that's a color other than heritage cherry.

I generally like the idea of this guitar with the neck profile, ebony board, and simple control layout. They are very interesting in almost all the colors. I do worry that with the body being as the say slimmed down, that the guitar may be too neck heavy. To me it almost seems like an SG should have the body thickness increased by a 1/4" to add enough mass so the neck doesn't dive when you let go of the neck. Grovers will only extenuate this. Does anyone have any experience with this in terms of strapping one of these babies on and having a go at it?
