I don't think I have ever seen a purple guitar for sale. This guitar has not seen the light of day in 56 years.

I think a proper orange or a candy orange metallic would be hot.

Gibson are remarkably limited in their colour choices, most years, unless you're after a sunburst LP, when the choices seem infinite. But they did use a gorgeous (to me!) shade of purple on the Robot SG:

I know someone on this forum has one. If they bring that colour back, I might just need a new SG. :)
