I can see it now : "A Florida man was found dead today, there are conflicting reports as to the nature of the death but officials have confirmed that guitar paraphernalia was found on scene."

I think I'll stick to stuff that'll be going inside my axe, as opposed to stuff SWMBO can readily spot and ask questions about.........

Why haven't you bought it your Dudeliness?

Get a new wife.........train the new wife to get accustomed to seeing hundreds of guitars/amps come and go so another one means nothing to her ;)

Freakin' amateurs. You guys never heard of photo cubes? Find your 4 favorite pics of your significant other, enlarge 2 to 15"x15" and the other two to 12"x12". Make a four sided tube to slide over the amp/photo cube. Place in rehearsal/practice space, because "I can have you with me, always, sweetheart." Flattery is the cheapest life/wife insurance.

Mine gave up years ago-----she used to keep track......and fain interest ........then as the sheer VOLUME of gear coming in and out increased she lost track she knows its a lot but ----she wouldnt know a Panama from a Marshall

---the real KEY ---is ai HAND HER a portion of the sales proceeds......."heres your cut dear I sold another one, go buy something nice" ..........

This however CAN BACKFIRE with this statement "I could use a new purse---have you sold any guitars lately?"

Not the same thing, but have you guys seen the Marshall Design shop? There are others that do grill cloth, but from the factory is that extra bit of cool.

I have to get beyond one axe & amp before I can even consider that. My G400, being my first purchased guitar, and first mod project, is unlikely (understatement) to ever be for sale.
That said, have you seen the Fender Offset Series they brought out for Summer NAMM?

I played a Mustang at the local geetar shop and was very impressed---it is VERY diminutive compared tot he Jazzmaster or Jaguar.

If I'm gonna get one, it's gotta be one of the colorful ones. Orangey or that minty teal or candy apple red.

That may throw me, being a larger guy, but the fact I have an SG G400 with a true 24 3/4" scale (look it up, Gibby isn't actually truly 24 3/4" ) I doubt it'll matter much.
