After using 10s for many years, I’ve been using 11s on my SG with good results. By that I mean that it stays in tune better while I am gigging.

Anyone else?

After gluing the headstock, I tried 9-42, but I liked them so much that I started using this size for all LP and SG.

I’ve varied over the years but Ive been settled on 10’s the last few. The Goldilocks choice - not too thick, not too thin.

But threads like this always sow some doubt and then I’m off trying 9’s again. LOL.

10s generally, but I've put 11s on my 1962 slab-body Special as the truss-rod is slack- have been told that necks were particularly straight around that period. Same situation on a 1962 EB-3 that I have. D'Addario strings on all my 6-strings.

I've been using Slinky 10's on my Epi SG, and 9's on the 25.5" necks. But you got me thinking about trying 9.5 or 9s on my SG. My 74 year old hands would appreciate it.

All Gibsons currently string with .10, but one Les Paul string with .09.
