Ya know Boo.........I THINK I was born left handed........but back in the "day" it was frowned upon to be leftie and my Grandmother forced me to use my right hand dominantly. Explains a lot of the psychotic behavior.
Now, more to the point, has the OP bought a nice G400 yet? If he's lefthanded then I'll sell him my G310 for $1000, but he'll have to pay the delivery charges.
I got mine in October last year. Absolutely love so much about it (good stock humbuckers, coil-tapping feature, beautiful white finish, etc.). Honestly I was pretty skeptical about a $300 Chinese guitar and would go play one at a local store every week for like 2 months before purchasing because I'd get home and think "There's no way it was that good". Now I wish I had one in every color! Played it every day since I got it!
The ONLY thing I'm not totally a fan of is the pickup selector in the middle position. The sound of both pickups together is very nice, but it's wired like a lot of Les Pauls so that in the middle position changing the volume on one pickup changes both of them (AKA the volumes are not independent in the middle position). Having never used a guitar wired like that before, it was odd to me at first but I thought I would live with it a bit and see if I got used to it or if there were certain advantages to this way. Having played it for several months like this, I prefer having independent volume controls and plan on making this simple change next week when I have a day off.
^ fully agree. Since I upgraded Betty, I've found meself playing 'acoustically' a lot and have generally increased my practice time. I haven't realized before, but a well set up SG with quality bits'n pieces seems to have a lovely natural sound with decent volume and excellent and musical sustain.
