Whats your holy grail guitar??

When I was initially wanting an SG, I had such a limited knowledge of the pro's and cons of each model. I just knew I wanted a brown one.
Permission posted just the right stuff.

And it doesn't hurt to have those sweet P90's and my favorote Gibson knobs, Witch Hats.

Yup. Gilmour can say more in two notes than others can say in ten. He is the Master of the well-placed note.

I'd want Eric Clapton's 335 or John Lennon's Casino or Stevie Ray's #1 or ... well, I guess I have a lot I would love to have.

When Gibson got its hands on Clapton's 335 to measure and analyze it in order to copy every detail for their Signature model, they found it to be a totally average guitar. Could it have been the player? The band? The music? Hmmm.

When I'm having a good night, and the band is cooking, and my amp is just right, the guitar I have in my hands is my "Holy Grail". End of story.

PermissionToLand, what is this SG ?

My Oxblood SG VOS! I've never seen another in this finish, and Gibson would only confirm that it's real, not how many were made. I'm guessing they used up leftover paint from the Jeff Beck LPs. It's really dark though; in anything other than direct sunlight it looks black. Threw in some BG Pure90s and they really brought it to life. Never gonna let go of him!
