Loud and hard yes classic rock not quite I will say allot of people have problems with pickups and change the pickups when they just needed a good wiring kit! change the faded's wiring to an RS kit and you should be good! My friend has the "Vintage" kit in his faded i cant tell much difference from that and my 61 with the 57's in it!

I would think the Vintage kit would. Seeing how sgguy said there was not much difference between that and his 61 reissue.

Guitar wiring while I wouldn't say "hard" can be tricky the first couple of times. IMHO if you are going to upgrade the wiring, save up a little more and have a good tech do it as well as a setup after. Also +1 on playing as many as you can, even when you've narrowed it down to which model.

they have 2 versions one is pre wired all you have to do is attach the pickups the best way if your sodderign the whole thing is to make a board where you can put the pots, jack and swich in the same layout as the guitar and sodder them up there then stick the whole thing in then you just have to attach the pickup wires
