So I'm going to be building a couple Wiring harnesses for my SG's and since quite a few of you have been through this, probably several times, I was wondering what cap and pot values are working best for you.

I've heard talk of:
300K, 500K, 550K pots
.015uf, .022uf, .033uf caps

So what are you using if you pulled the stock harness out?
Ideas, suggestions, comments welcome

Yeah I knew that but didnt go back and correct it but i dont really know how much diffrence you are gonna tell for it to be worth the trouble changing from 3 to 500k pots. I may be wrong but im guessing suttle diffrence if any. Now changing caps and doing the 50s wiring with independent volume will make a big diffrence.

Big difference..whether it's right for the guitar or not as purely subjective..:thumb:
I myself prefer modern wiring with non independent volumes..

That is an AWESOME sight for cats like me! Thank you so much. Ordered one on their harness today, man I could go BROKE on that sight!
StewMac is the shiz.:thumb: I would consider that set a serious upgrade over the stock crap..

Ordering that kit is really a waste of money cause all your gibson stock switches and pots are made in uSA the only thing diffrent in that kit is the orange drop caps wich you can buy from allparts for ten bucks. Now if you were replacing Epi parts i could understand. Not trying to be argumentive there is just no diffrence in anything in that kit other than the caps and maybe pot value if you were wanting to change that.
