I didn't even know these were out there. Somebody changed the tuners and put a new hole for each tuner - bummer but other than that it looks pretty cool in Walnut stain.

It's from the original run and was called ebony stain. It's very dark almost black and looks chocolate brown like that pic when you hit it with light/flash. It's a lot darker than walnut.

Thanks for the clearification. Sounds like an ebony color almost. That pic may have been taken with a flash or in just the right light to see that shade of the finish.

They took the covers off the P-90's? Is that what I'm seeing correctly?

Are you gonna make a run at it and bid?

Nice looking. I might have to try buffing out my brown three knob wraparound.

ive got a 73 special myself,walnut finish.
theres not many around as far as I know.on ebay most of them are cherry red,a few whites.but more walnuts then white..that Pelham blue is one of the rarest just because of the finishing according to the 14th edition vintage guitars price guide is worth between 4500 and 5200..
maybe its just me but I find the color unfitting.

Nice SG!

The ebony stain is somewhat rare. You have a keeper there. I'm pretty sure there are a few walnut stained classics out there too. I believe they were produced in the early 2000's, maybe 2002.

damn... I'd have bid on that... very cool.

Yah... absolutely no reason to lose the covers on a P90. Misguided mod.

I've had and regrettably sold two of these models. One of the best looking SGs out there IMO and increasingly hard to find. Something about that color just works with P90s, dots, and binding.
