I am the only person who voted red. I like the see thru finishes the best, and I bet a dark see thru red might work if you were "careful" with the repairs "and" the paint job. Make it a little darker around the repairs. Besides, some unusual marks in the wood bring character to the table, stories unfold, it's all good.
(Cherry rocks, go deep red!!!)
well 1way, i believe ole lou does this stuff for a living, and if he says it wouldn't look "cherry" with the transparent finish i'd have to ride with his opinion.
On the other hand, i'm a war wound character kind of guy as you seem to be. whatever the small imperfection is, just take a buck knife to that sucker and make the whole rest of the guit match it...don't fight it..embrace it. hehehe..i need to think me up a motto....
1Way- They say numbers don't lie and there's only one vote logged for red, so guess what...............
(Hey Skids, have you been checking out those posts talking about an SG tat? I've been trying to drum up some biz for you dude........ Now all you got to do is make the design. And as for me, since I don't have a tat, can I possibly get one in a temporary variety? )
TNT, Aging the blue wouldn't be a problem, i'd just tint the clear with some yellow.
1Way, I don't have the guitar delivered as of yet, but when I do get it I will post close up pics and you will see why I'm leaning towards a solid color as opposed to the cherry finish. Don't get me wrong, there is nothing like a gorgeous cherry finish on an SG but I don't think this Jr. will qualify.
Thanks Skids !
Trust me guys,,When I'm through with this it will looks great !
I can do temporary tats too six! i just spotted that thread earlier about the tats, yeah i'd be very happy to do them and even help with the design for those to far away! and thanky there sixxer!
