Hey folks! I'm Drew from Canada, and I'm a member of the armed forces up here in the true north :)

I've been watching and reading posts on this forum for a couple months now, I really love seeing everyone's SG's and other gear and hearing all the talk about mods and different options. It seems like a really great community you have here!

I guess I'll introduce my guitar too... its a Epi '66 PRO in black, with a Bigsby B5 installed on a vibramate v5. took a bit of fiddling to make it work, but I'm content with how it turned out. I've got a pretty simple setup to go with it - a reverb, delay, and metal distortion going straight into the front of a Marshall AVT100. Sounds good enough for now, but I've eventually got my eye on that new Epi Electar 75th anniversary amp. Looks and sounds pretty sweet, and versatile too!

Well, thanks for letting me blab about myself, lookin forward to reading more of your guys' posts!

Welcome, friend from the Great White North! Venez-vous du Québec?

My french is a little rusty, which it shouldn't be since there's so many francophones in my regiment, but my guess is that you asked if I ever go to Quebec...? If that was the question, I was there for my first phase of training, and my #2 choice for a posting (2nd only to my home, right here in Manitoba) is in the capital, Quebec City. I never go there just to visit though.

You don't have to drill at all! check this out...

VIBRAMATE® - Innovative Music Products - Made in USA

this is what I used. This spacer comes with everything you need to completely install it. It has screw-type lugs that fit into the lug holes from your stop-tail, then the bigsby simply screws onto the pre-machined holes in the spacer. and bam! you got a bigsby. and if, at any time, you want to take that bigsby off your guitar, there's just the two screws in the old stop-tail lug holes that you need to remove, and you're ready to throw it on another guitar, or replace your it with your original stop-tail.

Hmmmm, black SG with a Bigsby. Very nice! I'm about to add a B3 Bigsby to mine, just waiting for the parts.
