Went in to my local Gibson dealer (Bailey Brothers) to pay off my Les Paul and of course they had just put this 61 SG Standard out..... So before I left I put some money down on it. I almost went home to "think about it " but every time I've done that someone else buys it while I'm pondering.

Anyhow the looks really grabbed me first, then just the overall feel, fit/finish etc convinced me.

A few pics , will post a follow up once I get it off layaway.

Gorgeous grain, I would’ve jumped on it too as long as it plays and sounds great.

Some SG Standard are really nice, just saying. Center join is discrete.

The horn thickness and bevels look really good.

They obviously put in the extra effort due to the killer grain.

Definitely a keeper !
