Hey guys whats up, im new to the sight, im on my second cherry epiphone sg, the first one i got when i was in highschool, i got my first job at a gas station while going to school working 3 nights a week, and the weekends when ever i could, because i wanted a guitar like angus youngs ever sense i was a little boy, ( i obviously couldnt afford the real sg)its what i use to dream about, so i work my butt off and lay away the epiphone, the day i paid it off my mom let me stay home from school and my friend stayed home from school and we were sitting in the parking lot of the guitar store waiting for it to open, we went straight to his garage and jammed all day (i already knew how to play because i had a washburn given to me)

So 2 years pass, loved it played everyday, i get in a band with my friend, who was in a band with some kids i didnt know, so turns out that our drummer had a crazy drug addiction and the garage "gets broken into" and although the garage was full of everyones equipment, my epiphone and my buddies marshall combo were the only thing that got taken there was drums basses, bass amps, motor cycles, dirt bike everything in there, and thats all they took,

So i decide to try something new i got a nice white ibanez rg350 and that was an all right guitar but the whole time i just missed my epiphone sg, then i had an after party at my apartment and a buddy was playing my rg350 and he leans it up against the wall, and then this girl is standing there and this other girl found out that she cheated with her boyfriend and punched her out and she landed on the ibanez :( cracked the neck, its still playable and keeps its tune but its pretty ugly, so this christmas, my girlfriend surprises me with an epiphone sg for christmas, just like the one that had gotten stolen, so although its not speacial for the reason that i worked my butt off and earned it myself like the other one, but its special in a different way i guess . anyways, sorry to bore you guys with all this writing, just wanted to give a little backround on where im comming from, and say whats up.

That's OK, we like knowing the history of other members guitars, but for future reference we would appreciate if it was broken into more than one paragraph:thumb:

Congrats on your new SG and welcome to the forum.

"...hen this girl is standing there and this other girl found out that she cheated with her boyfriend and punched her out and she landed on the ibanez..."

For some reason, this happens a lot to ibanez guitars. Don't know why it is.

Welcome, and enjoy that Epi!

What a coincidence. I've owned the same models of SG and RG.. both amazing guitars. I still have my RG350, but the SG is long gone.

I hear that. Also, probably the fastest neck I've ever played. Such a fantastic guitar.

I 100% agree with you... but still as good as the ibanez plays and sounds its the S.G that inspires me to wanna pick up a guitar and play.

+1 on that... it's a great story. some people don't like long posts... and those people
can use their scrolling wheels to bypass my epics. I like hearing stories about guitars and about the people who live around them. Welcome to ETSG... that's what we all
are, the people who live around SGs.

A girlfriend who will buy you a new SG is someone to take good care of.
Tell her Col. Mustard said so. So play the hell out of that guitar, and...
well, you know. now we want to see some more pictures.

UHM, of the GUITAR......right Col.??????:naughty::applause:

Scotty sounds like you have the same impression of the Ibanez as I had of my Yamaha electrics back in the 90's. They where inexpensive then, played and sounded AWESOME played very nice cost 150.00 new came in awesome colors included a very nice tremelo ......but, just didn't "stir the soul"

Same feeling I get riding a Honda Motorcycle, no soul
Triumph Triple Cylinder motorcycle.........what SOUL:dude:
