Multi effects board or stomp boxes - that is the question.

I'm with you on that Wade. The old principle of KISS... (Keep It Simple,Stupid).
I am only using 3 pedals ATM. A Behringer tuner, a Behringer Fuzz that actually sounds REALLY good, and my Boss DS-1 with the "Tobacco Worm" mod! :naughty:

Works for me.

Oh, I didn't come up with that mod., however the origin of it has been lost long ago in the past. All you and I did was make it known to the nice folks here. :) I heard my cats call us "Those Two Redneck Tech's from the bush"! Just jealous because they got no thumbs so they can't shoot S&W's like us! ;)

OK. I was just trying to figure that stuff out. Gotta forgive me, I'm an oldtimer and when I saw your setup I was confused. Always have had my pedals where they were under foot and such you see....So, ok, I see what ya got. Kinda like a pull out pedal drawer thing. In the picture I couldn't tell how far off the ground it was so I didn't know how you got to them....

Well today I got "unprocessed" as I sold both the Zoom G7.1ut processor and the Fender Vibro Champ XD amp. Now I'm 100% analog and feel like a huge "digital boulder" has been removed from my back....

The way I see it, I was not using all that extra stuff. I run a few dirtboxes, an analog delay, and at times a chorus. Odd that even though the processor had tons of stuff, I still ran with just a distortion, delay, and sometimes chorus. It was, to me, like I was better off with my pedals in the first place. So I did learn that I can use a processor, but I choose not to.

But it was good for me to try this new stuff. I now know for sure that I'd rather have my pedals. But at least I gave it a shot. And as the old saying goes "It's better to have died in a hurricane than to have never known the storm." Thus I'm a happy little analog worm again and life is good. :)

I can always respect a guy that tries something and then realizes it's not part of his path.

Even though there are many things I do in the digital world, like Wade I also know my limits!

There are times I even would be happy being all acoustic like everyone before the phonograph and electricity.

Times...not always. :naughty:
